The number of monthly active users on the NFT trading platform has reached a nearly one-year high, but the volume is still far below historical peaks.

Last month, the number of monthly active users on a certain NFT trading platform reached its highest level since the middle of 2023. According to data from the data platform, there were 467,322 users on this platform in May who made at least one transaction, a figure comparable to the levels from mid-2022 to early 2023. The number of active users in June may be on par with or even higher than May, with the current number reaching 236,091.

Although user interest on a certain platform has rebounded, the monthly trading volume of the NFT platform is still far below the levels seen before the NFT market slump in 2021 and early 2022. Despite last month's trading volume being $81 million, it peaked at over $5 billion in January 2022.

The surge in the number of active users can be attributed to the official launch of OS2 on May 29, as well as users' anticipation of potential rewards. This beta version is only open to Gemesis NFT holders (94,757 NFT collectibles created by a certain platform in April 2023) and focuses on testing new features.
