The subsidiary of Société Générale has launched the USD stablecoin USDCV, which will be issued across Ethereum and Solana.

According to reports, Société Générale-Forge, a crypto subsidiary of Société Générale, has announced the launch of a new stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. According to an announcement released on June 10, the stablecoin, called USDCoin Vertible (USDCV), will be issued on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains. BNY, a UK-based financial services company, will act as custodian of the assets behind the stablecoin. The launch follows the company's launch of EURCoin Vertible, a euro-pegged stablecoin in April 2023, when EURCV was issued to institutional clients.
