BTC fell from its record high, and US President Trump's inaugural speech did not make specific policy commitments to Cryptocurrency, which disappointed the crypto community.
BTC fell by 3.3%, to $101,443. It had earlier touched a record high of $109,241 on Monday.
"The crypto community is disappointed that Trump did not make specific policy commitments to BTC in his inaugural speech," said Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at Bitwise Asset Management.
Before Trump's inauguration, Trump and his wife Melania launched their own Cryptocurrency, triggering a buying frenzy and causing a severe turbulence in the Cryptocurrency market. Investors subsequently embraced this move, believing it further indicated Trump's support for Cryptocurrency policies.
Media previously cited informed sources as reporting that Trump plans to issue an executive order elevating Crypto Assets to a policy priority and giving industry insiders a voice in his administration.
